What Is the Original Hit the Road Dude Video?
The original “Hit the road, dude” meme is a real fishing-spot confrontation posted on TikTok by @bird28thegr8 in August 2025. A man in a white pickup challenges people fishing at a pond after they say they thought it was state property.

Why “State Property” and “Lock ’Em Up” refer to the same clip
The driver disputes the fishermen’s understanding of the pond’s ownership and tells them to leave. His reaction to the word “state” and a later remark about locking them up became separate punchlines. State Property, Private Property, Lock ’Em Up and Hit the Road Dude are names used for this same encounter and its remixes.
Is the original video 15 seconds long?
The full original recording above runs for about 70 seconds. A short excerpt or remake can be much shorter. Our silver tabby example is a separate 15-second pet scene; it is not the full original recording.
What does Hit the Road Pets make?
Hit the Road Pets creates a new pickup-truck scene from one pet photo. The video and spoken voice are generated for that scene; our workflow does not insert a face into the original footage or attach the original recording’s soundtrack. Appearance, gestures, wording and lip sync can vary.
You only upload one photo
You do not need to upload the original TikTok. Use a clear photo of one cat or dog, with the face and ears visible. The pet’s fur, paws, expressions and any visible outfit guide the result. See the completed silver tabby video and its input photo before choosing your own.
